What is a Thespian?
Thespians are students in grades 9-12 who excel in theatre. To be inducted, one must obtain 25 Thespian points (each point is approximately 5 hours of work) and 3 concessions points. Students participate in shows either by being an actor or working a technical crew, such as costumes, set decoration, set construction, hair and makeup, publicity, electricians, backstage audio, sound board, light board, props, stage crew, assistant directing, or stage management. Chino Hills High School inducts new thespians once a year at our annual theatre banquet. Once inducted, you are a thespian for life.
